| The Wheel of the Year – a celebration of eight seasonal festivals £35.00 per person |
| Suzanne Corbie |
The Wheel of the Year is a celebration of eight festivals, rooted in the seasonal rhythms of nature, honoured over hundreds of years by many European and Slavic countries. This special interest day will study the sacred traditions and folklore practised by peoples from Celts and Anglo Saxons to Norse nations. In modern times, these festivals have been merged to form the Wheel of the Year, inviting us to align, as the ancients did, with both the natural energy of the earth and the movement of the sun and stars. The talk will be followed by group discussions and a craft activity. This study day is non-religious and welcomes participants from any culture, race or belief. 10.30am to 4.30pm Discover new things and skills on this Arts Society Special Interest Day held at The Oak Room in Smeeth which is a change (previously advertised as Aldington Village Hall). For information and to book contact Shirley Boards: 07970 655919 or shirleyaboards@hotmail.com Morning and afternoon refreshments included but bring your own lunch! |
